Torino centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno is hot property on the transfer market this summer, with Juventus ready to join Inter, Milan and Premier League clubs in the race.

The defender had already been linked with a move to the Rossoneri in January, only for the player and Toro to slam the door shut.

However, he is widely expected to leave the Granata this summer with a price-tag of at least €45m placed on his shoulders.

Inter had been the favourites, until Tuttosport suggested they were only able to sign him on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Milan can therefore hope to leap in front by offering the same amount in a guaranteed payment.

Buongiorno bidding war

As for Juventus, Tuttosport note that they too are in the running, having already snatched Gleison Bremer from their city rivals for that role.

Considering his strong rapport with the Torino fans and history of Granata supporters in his family, Buongiorno would have to think very carefully before accepting a switch to Juventus.

Milan could also have the upper hand because Buongiorno’s agent already represents several of their players, including Francesco Camarda, Mattia Caldara and Daniel Maldini.

They would need to sell one of their current defenders to raise funds, with Malick Thiaw the most likely candidate.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur remain on the radar and could comfortably out-bid all these clubs.
