Brad Marchand does not get too many chances to show off his jumping ability but he did so Wednesday night.
After Marchand's hit caused a turnover in the Florida Panthers zone, Marchand, the Bruins captain, leaped over Panthers defenseman Niko Mikkola in setting up Charlie Coyle's goal with 7:48 left in the first period that gave Boston a 1-0 lead over Florida in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.

It was Marchand's seventh assist and 10th point of the playoffs. It is the ninth time in his career that he has had at least 10 points in a playoff season.
It was Coyle's first goal of the playoffs.
The Bruins lead the series 1-0 after winning Game 1, 5-1 on Monday night.
Of course Boston is seeking revenge on Florida after blowing a 3-1 series lead against the Panthers in the first round of last season's playoffs. That came after the Bruins set NHL records with 65 wins and 135 points during the 2022-23 regular season.
