Finding Top Value To Bet On The 2024 Bucs
Junfu Han-USA TODAY Sports

Last season, a great storyline that many Bucs fans got to laugh over after the season was the fact that the over/under win total for the Bucs was 6.5, which Tampa Bay smashed with a 9-7 record. With the schedule coming out this week the odds makers are at it again coming up with lines for win totals, Week 1 and various other props.

Bucs’ Win Total Over/Under

Sticking with the theme of total wins, Tampa Bay improved their record by a game from 8-9 in 2022 to 9-8 in 2023. The oddsmakers, specifically BetMGM, have also improved the Bucs’ team total wins from 6.5 in 2023 to 7.5 in 2024. Before you jump to immediately place this bet, keep in mind that the odds of this is -140, which means if you were to bet $140 and it hits, you would only win $100.

The -140 is the one of the highest odds amongst the NFL teams, so there isn’t too much value in it. At the end of the day a win is a win, and they are more than likely to highly place above 7.5 wins.

If you’re looking for a big pay day from betting on the Bucs the best way to go about it would be to place a wager on them to reach the playoffs. On the HardRock Bet app, the prop of Tampa Bay to make the postseason has a payout of +145, so in other words betting $100 would get you a $145 payout.

This would be a great bet to take with the main reason being that Tampa Bay has two different avenues to make the postseason by either punching its ticket through the Wild Card or by winning the division for the fourth straight year. It also takes out the risk of their win total, so the objective doesn’t have many outlying factors.

Bucs’ Best Odds

With Tampa Bay winning the NFC South three years in a row and proving that they can get it done despite what their division rivals do in the offseason, this next bet might be just for you. The odds of the Bucs winning the NFC South is +300, which is the second best in the whole division. Atlanta has the most likely odds at -130, while New Orleans is +375 and Carolina comes in at +1500.

It’s a little more difficult to win this one because Tampa Bay must win the division in order to win this bet. But as the team has shown time and time again, it’s at its best when everyone is doubting Tampa Bay. Not many people had the Bucs winning the division last year, and despite re-signing the likes of Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, Lavonte David and extending Antoine Winfield Jr, others have their questions about them again.

Despite other teams in the division making headlines, Tampa Bay plans on making trips to the postseason. If you think the Bucs are going back again, it’s a fantastic opportunity to cash in on it right now.
